NEW SERVICE FROM HOBOKEN TRAIN TERMINAL TO PIER 79/MIDTOWN - extended
November 11, 2012. To alleviate some of the congestion at the Port Authority Bus terminal and to give customers traveling to Midtown Manhattan additional travel options, NJ TRANSIT has teamed up with NY Waterway to offer new, discounted, round trip ferry service from Hoboken Train Terminal to Pier 79 on West 39th Street in Midtown Manhattan, starting on Monday, November 12.
The service will operate between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. and between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on weekdays until further notice. Vessels will leave approximately every 10 minutes during those intervals. Customers using this service can also access free NY Waterway shuttle buses for further travel within Manhattan.
This ferry service does not normally operate between Hoboken Train Terminal and 39th Street in Manhattan. Customers wishing to access this new ferry service can purchase round-trip fare for $10. A special ticket booth at Hoboken Train Terminal has been established for customers starting on Monday.
Customers arriving at Hoboken Train Terminal can also use our regular ferry service operating to World Financial Center. Customers desiring to reach Pier 11 can take the Light Rail from Hoboken to connect to our Paulus Hook or Liberty Harbor ferries to Pier 11.
Thank you,
NY Waterway
