Port Liberte Service Now Open!
December 7, 2012. Following extensive repairs to the ferry facilities at our Port Liberte terminal, regularly scheduled service from Port Liberte to Pier 11 is now open and will has resumed service. Ferries will depart in accordance with our normal published schedule. The pier structure and floating barge all suffered damage as a result of Hurricane Sandy. The vessel that was docked at the Port Liberte terminal floated aground and had to be recovered. We thank our dedicated staff and vendors for their efforts in restoring this facility. And we thank our loyal customers for their patience while these repairs were undertaken.
The terminal building is still undergoing repair and as a result ticketing will take place on board the vessel. The terminal building should re-open next week.
We hope that you will be able to join us when we re-launch the service on December 6.
