Port Imperial Parking & Traffic Flow Changes starting on or about April 18th

PORT IMPERIAL FERRY TERMINAL

To Our Port Imperial Customers,

As an update on our Port Imperial traffic pattern changes, commencing on or about April 18th, there will be a number of traffic pattern and parking changes in the vicinity of the Port Imperial ferry terminal due to construction (See map below).

These changes include:

- The road between the two Port Imperial parking garages will be closed to all eastbound traffic from Port Imperial boulevard.  As a result the current entrance to the South Parking Garage will be for exiting only and all cars entering the South Parking Garage will need to use the entrance on the Avenue at Port Imperial (previously designated VIP entrance).

- The current entrances to the North Parking Garage will remain the same, however Exiting will only occur from the Road H Exit. (See below map)

- Construction zones will reduce traffic lanes on Avenue at Port Imperial (in front of the ferry terminal) to just one through lane. Curbside drop-offs will still be permitted in front of the terminal, but no-waiting or pick-ups will be permitted on either side of the street. Cars (including taxis) who attempt to wait for pick-ups on either side of the street (outside the terminal) will be ticketed by Weehawken Police.

        - The designated 10-minute waiting area will be moved further north of the terminal on Avenue at Port Imperial across from the northeast surface parking lot (Road H on map).

- The designated taxi lane will move to the curbside directly in front of the northeast surface lot.

- All vehicles exiting the ferry terminal area and parking garages must use the road in front of the north garage.

We understand that some inconveniences may occur during this construction period.  We will do all we can to clearly indicate all new drop-off, waiting and parking areas, as well as help our customers navigate these changes. If you have any questions about this or anything else please call us at 800-533-3779.

Thank you for being a most valued NY Waterway customer.
