“Get Social” with NY Waterway!
For those of you keeping up with the ever changing times of technology, communications, digital and social media, you will find that NY Waterway now has a heavy presence in social media; including Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare and Flickr. We are finding that this has helped us tremendously with marketing and sales, customer service inquiries, and relaying information on promotions, events, and discounts happening at NY Waterway and the surrounding NYC/NJ areas! We now have the ability to post any news, advisories, or alerts over to our customers almost INSTANTLY! This is what social media is all about – having fun and staying informed! It’s easy, convenient, and can be done right from most mobile devices!
We have noticed that many of our riders have been posting to social media wonderful pictures and videos from their commute and travels with us here at NY Waterway. We encourage everyone to post any content you would like to share on any of our social media channels listed below! User participation has been great and we are very excited about the growing social networks that we have been heavily promoting! We thank everyone who has been participating on our social media channels.
Our marketing and social media team is working around the clock to ensure that our social media channels are up to date with current content and information to better serve our customers. As always, customer service remains our #1 priority at NY Waterway, and keeping our customers happy is what we strive for. Start “Checking in” with us on Foursquare!
Who doesn’t love FREE stuff?
For those of you that have been “checking in” with us on Foursquare at our various approved NY Waterway venues, you may have noticed a few Foursquare “specials” that we are running. We will be running about 2 contests per month. When you “check-in” you will be prompted to follow instructions with a link for a chance to win anything from ferry tickets to Broadway shows, and a series of other prizes! All you have to do is be at one of our locations and check-in to receive the check-in special! Follow each check-in special’s instructions to enter for your chance to win some fantastic prizes!
For those of you who don’t use Foursquare, it is very simple to sign up! Please visit www.foursquare.com, sign up for an account (you can even link your Foursquare account to your Twitter and Facebook accounts – we think its great to do this!), and start checking in! It’s that easy! Please note that you can only check-in from mobile devices, such as cell phones or iPads.
If you check-in to venues near our NY Waterway locations, you may also notice some helpful “tips” we have added to Foursquare to help you enjoy all there is to see in and around the NYC/NJ area!
